How to Install SPC Interlocking Flooring?

Installation Process

1. Preparation

   • Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any existing flooring if necessary.
   • Acclimate the SPC planks to the room temperature and humidity for at least 48 hours before installation.

2. Planning

   • Measure the room to determine the layout and number of planks needed. Plan the layout to avoid having very narrow planks along the walls.

3. Installation

   • Begin at one corner of the room, placing spacers along the walls to allow for expansion.
   • Snap the planks together using the interlocking edges. Start with the long side and then click the short side into place.
   • Use a tapping block and a mallet to ensure the planks fit tightly together without gaps.
   • Continue the process row by row, ensuring the seams are staggered for a natural look.

4. Finishing

   • Remove the spacers and install baseboards or molding to cover the expansion gap.
   • Clean the floor to remove any dust or debris from the installation process.
