How to Install SPC Interlocking Flooring?

Installation Process

  1. Preparation

    • Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any existing flooring if necessary.
    • Acclimate the SPC planks to the room temperature and humidity for at least 48 hours before installation.
  2. Planning

    • Measure the room to determine the layout and number of planks needed. Plan the layout to avoid having very narrow planks along the walls.
  3. Installation

    • Begin at one corner of the room, placing spacers along the walls to allow for expansion.
    • Snap the planks together using the interlocking edges. Start with the long side and then click the short side into place.
    • Use a tapping block and a mallet to ensure the planks fit tightly together without gaps.
    • Continue the process row by row, ensuring the seams are staggered for a natural look.
  4. Finishing

    • Remove the spacers and install baseboards or molding to cover the expansion gap.
    • Clean the floor to remove any dust or debris from the installation process.

Key Considerations

  1. Subfloor Conditions

    • While SPC flooring is forgiving, ensuring a smooth and level subfloor will help achieve the best results and longevity.
  2. Temperature Fluctuations

    • Although SPC flooring is stable, extreme temperature changes can still affect it. Maintain a consistent indoor climate to avoid potential issues.
  3. Maintenance

    • Regular cleaning with a damp mop and mild cleaner is sufficient. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or waxes, as they can damage the surface.
SPC interlocking flooring is a versatile and practical flooring option that offers durability, waterproof properties, and easy installation. With its realistic wood or stone appearance, it's a perfect choice for any residential or commercial space. Plus, our extensive warranty gives you the assurance of a quality flooring solution that will last for years to come.
